Scalextric never made a model of the Triumph Herald range of cars.
This resin body kit is based on the Triumph Herald Vitesse variant
in the range which was a very fast car for the time. This car was
fitted with an famous 6 cylinder 1600cc engine which was later increased
to 2000cc.
This fantastic kit is suitable for use as the basis of a unique
slot car or as a static 1/32nd scale model. The kit contains the
following components:
- body shell
- window moulding
- front grille mesh
- driver plate
- driver's head
If this model is to be used
on the Scalextric track then it can be fitted to a Scalextric Porsche
911 (934) chassis fitted with the our small
wheels and small
superslix tyres. Some modification will need to be made to the
periphery of the chassis for it to fit the finished body snuggly.
The wheelbase and track of the chassis are a good fit to this body.
