Scalextric never made a model of the Hillman Hunter range of cars.
Introduced by Rootes in 1966 the Hillman Hunter was fairly successful
in motorsport and won the 1968 London to Sydney Marathon. This resin
body kit contains alternative grilles for the Minx, Singer Gazelle
and Vogue variants of the Hillman Hunter.
This fantastic kit is suitable for use as the basis of a unique
slot car or as a static 1/32nd scale model. The kit contains the
following components:
- body shell
- window moulding
- front grille (3 options)
- driver plate
- driver's head
If this model is to be used
on the Scalextric track then it can be fitted to a Scalextric Ford
Escort XR3i, Datsun 260Z or MG Maestro chassis fitted with the our
Minilite
wheels and narrow tyres. Some modification will need to be made
to the periphery of the chassis for it to fit the finished body
snuggly. The wheelbase and track of the chassis are a good fit to
this body.
