These Neodymium Iron Boron magnets have a gauss level which is typically 2 - 4 times higher than standard Alnico magnets. They are nickel-plated for improved corrosion resistance and appearance.

These Neodymium button magnets are 8mm in diameter and are 5mm thick. They are direct replacements for the 3mm thick button magnets used on nearly all the later scalextric cars. As they are 5mm thick rather than the original 3mm thick they have greater performance than the standard Scalextric magnets.
