This yellow Scalextric contrate gear was used from the early 1970s though to the 1980s predominately in conjunction with the Johnson motor. The gear is compatible with both the Johnson motor and the later Mabuchi motor and is used in conjunction with the classic Scalextric white 9 tooth motor pinion gear also available from Scalextric Car Restorations.
