The Shadow team under the leadership of Don Nichols entered Formula
1 in 1973 and quickly established themselves as one of the leading
teams. Shadow won the 1975 race of Champions at Brands Hatch in
a DN5, but had to wait until Australia, in 1977, for their first
Grand Prix victory. The first of many for this highly professional
outfit. A feature of the U.O.P. Shadow was its wide monocoque
and side radiators, thereby setting the direction for the future.
The car was powered by a Ford Cosworth V8 engine.
This Scalextric U.O.P. Shadow model is complete.
Thoroughly cleaned and serviced the car is fitted with new pick
up braids and motor pinion gear. The car has been track tested
and runs extremely well with quiet smooth motor and gears. The
front and rear wing mouldings are complete. The all important
rear tyres are in good, grippy condition with no cracks or other
damage. The body has no scratches and the factory applied printing
is in good condition.
This Scalextric U.O.P. Shadow model car is wonderful to race
and would add value to any collection.
