This Scalextric model Escort is the Mexico version which had bubble arches and carried a 1598cc engine producing 98 bhp. The Ford Escort was an extremely successful rally car of its day winning the RAC rally every year from 1971 to 1978.

Thoroughly cleaned and serviced this Escort RS1600 Mexico is fitted with new pick up braids and new motor wires. The Escort has been track tested and runs extremely well with quiet smooth motor and gears. This example is in lovely condition with all the parts present and correct. The factory applied decals are in good condition. The tyres are in good condition with no cracks or other damage.
